God has a specific call and ministry for every single Believer. This
truth is probably the one overlooked by more Christians than any other. The Minister of every Believer is important whether
it has a high profile or not.
A young teen by the name of John W. Yates was so poor that he had to put cardboard in
his shoes to cover up the holes. When he opened a bank account at the age of fifteen, however, he deposited his meager earnings
under the name ‘John W. Yates & Company.’ By this he was indicating that God was his Partner
and Manager, and he followed the practice throughout his life. In time, he became a multimillionaire.
Another young
man, Oswald Chambers of Scotland, showed so much artistic promise that, at the age of eighteen, he was invited
to study under Europe’s greatest masters. But he declined the offer and enrolled in a little known Bible College.
Later,
he went to Egypt and ministered to the spiritual needs of British soldiers. Chambers died there when he was only forty-three
years old. However, he left to the world a rich legacy of devotional literature. It was from him that we have the devotional
classic, ‘My Utmost For His Highest.’
For both men, doing God’s Will was
their prime objective. In fact, both men were a success. Each fulfilled the Calling of God for his life.
Their talents
were different, but they were faithful in using them to the fullest extent in God’s Kingdom. Let’s be faithful
in the Ministry to which we have been called.
Let’s do it!
May the Lord bless you!
